How to Drill a Well by Hand
Having a hand pump attached to a shallow well on your property can be very useful, especially if you have limited water usage in your area. I hand drilled this one in our backyard to help with cleaning, putting out our fire pit, and giving water to our dog. It can also be used to water your plants, gardens, and lawns. If you are a DIY homeowner in the city or country, drilling a well by hand can be a great way to create a water irrigation system the old fashion way. And the process might be simpler than you think. (Always check local laws and codes before digging.)
